GLA is supporting the New Mexico Energy, Minerals and Natural Resources Department in the process of applying for regulatory primacy under the EPA Class VI program in order to oversee carbon capture and storage (CCS) projects.

GLA has delivered over a dozen separate technical reports for the project, all integrated across regulatory frameworks. Our work has ensured the successful creation and implementation of a CO2 Sequestration project for all EWS hub projects.

GLA supported the first facility in California to receive a Sequestration Site Certification and Class VI permits from the EPA. Our application was successful in creating a new precedence for carbon capture facilities in the state.
