Groundwater Flow and Transport Modeling for Real Estate Development

GLA developed a comprehensive hydrogeologic subbasin site characterization and groundwater model that allowed BRC to quantify the historical, current, and future hydrogeologic conditions and chemical impacts and aid in potential future remedial decision making.

Tucson Airport Remediation Superfund Site

In 1994, Tucson Water began operating a groundwater remediation system known as the Tucson Airport Remediation Project (TARP). To date, the TARP system has treated approximately 48 billion gallons of groundwater and removed approximately 5,303 pounds of TCE from the regional aquifer. TARP is also addressing other contaminants of concern in the soil and groundwater, including 1,4-Dioxane and PFAS.

Water Quality Sampling and Data Management for Emerging Contaminants Program

To manage the water quality data, DBS&A has developed a tailored, web-accessible database management system. This online application was developed by GLA to store, visualize, map, manage, and report environmental data.
