A Proven Leader

Neil Blandford, PG is a Principal Hydrologist with over 35 years of experience in quantitative hydrology and hydrogeology. He serves as GLA’s Hydrogeology Services Leader.

Contributions to the Science

He specializes in water supply investigations and water rights analysis, numerical modeling of groundwater flow and contaminant transport, groundwater planning, computation of the effects of groundwater pumping on surface water, hydrogeologic evaluations, wellhead protection area delineation and source water determination, well field design, and expert testimony in water rights cases. Mr. Blandford was the Project Manager for EPA-sponsored development and application a user-friendly computer code to delineate wellhead protection areas (WHPAs) for commonly encountered hydrogeologic settings. He provides expert services and litigation support while navigating complex regulatory programs including for underground injection control (UIC) Class II and Class III projects. He has provided expert testimony at New Mexico State Engineer hearings and District Courts, and Arizona Superior Courts.
