A Proven Leader

Mr. Runyan is GLA’s Construction Support Services Leader with more than 30 years of experience in landfill construction quality assurance (CQA) observation and testing.

Contributions to the Science

His CQA experience includes over 21.5 million square feet of geomembrane, 7.5 million square feet of GCL, and 4 million cubic yards of final cover soil. His duties have included site construction management and geotechnical observation and testing during various construction projects including construction management/quality assurance for landfill liner systems and final cover systems; building pads, trenches, and footings; residential site percolation testing; and environmental soil sampling. Mr. Runyan has also participated in geologic/hydrogeologic investigations including aquifer testing, groundwater sampling, geophysical surveys, operations and maintenance activities associated with a range of remediation systems, and performed Phase I environmental site assessments.
