Aquifer Storage and Recovery Program, Groundwater Supply, and Innovative Stormwater Management

GLA wholly owned subsidiary Summit Water Resources helped develop the City’s ASR program in 2000 and has guided expansion to become one of the largest in the Pacific Northwest, and also developed a management system that allows stormwater to be treated, stored, and recovered for various non-potable uses and streamflow enhancement.

Additionally, we’ve assisted CWS to identify actions to manage a large water rights portfolio within the Tualatin Basin.

Geologic Carbon Sequestration: Siting and Feasibility in Basalt Aquifers

GLA assisted the Carbon Containment Lab in exploring the potential for geologic sequestration of carbon dioxide in the Columbia River Basalt Group by identifying locations where a new source water well can be developed in close proximity to a carbon dioxide injection site.
