Client

Park City Municipal Corporation

Market

Water

Challenge

Park City’s drinking water was contaminated by polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS).

Solutions

Wholly owned subsidiary Loughlin Water Associates used hydrogeologic mapping to help identify the source of polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS) in drinking water wells as PFAS-containing ski wax.

Results

We helped Park City to modify their Drinking Water Source Protection (DWSP) ordinance to ban PFAS containing ski wax from DWSP areas.
