Groundwater Studies and Development for Oakley City

Oakley City, UT

Challenge

Oakley City needed to develop additional public water supply wells to provide clean drinking water to the community.

Solutions

Wholly owned subsidiary, Loughlin Water conducted groundwater and well siting studies and sited, designed, permitted, constructed, and sampled public water supply wells in the Weber Sandstone and Humbug Limestone aquifers to depths of 1,840 to 2,000 feet.  As part of these studies, Loughlin Water conducted age-dating studies that included tritium and carbon-14.

Results

Yields of wells ranged from 600 to 2250 gallons per minute.
